Craniosacral Therapy for babies

What is Craniosacral Therapy (CST)?

CST is a gentle, hands-on therapy that supports your baby both physically and emotionally. Using very light touch, it encourages relaxation and balance in the body, helping release tension that may have built up from position in utero, birth stresses and early development.

CST can support feeding, sleep, digestion, and overall wellbeing, helping your baby feel more comfortable and settled.

How Can CST Help My Baby?

CST is supportive for:

  • Babies who reflux, have 'colic' or digestive discomfort
  • Births that were fast, slow, assisted (forceps, ventouse) or C-Section
  • Babies who are hard to settle, 'fussy' or hard to soothe
  • Feeding challenges (latch, side preference, tongue ties)
  • Tongue ties and oral restrictions
  • Sleep difficulties
  • Tension in the body

Every baby is different, but many parents notice their babies being calmer and more settled after sessions.

Why I Offer Craniosacral Therapy

This learning and work felt like a natural next step in the way I support babies and their parents.

Every experience has an effect on our bodies. Birth is a very physical process - however gentle it is - and can cause tension in your baby's body. If this tension is not addressed, it may contribute to various issues over time. CST is a gentle way to support your baby's early development - prevention is always better than cure.

What Happens in a Session?

Each session is baby-led, respectful and calm. Your baby remains fully clothed and can be held, fed or comforted as needed. This is their session and they should be happy throughout.

Using gentle touch, I asses how their body is moving and where there may be areas of tension.

what parents are saying

Feeding Improvements

"Emma has been seeing x weekly for craniosacral therapy, and the difference has been amazing — she’s now happily taking her bottle and drinking more each time"

Confident with Babies

“I’m surprised he was so good with you! He’s been such a mummy’s boy and won’t let anyone else hold him… or even my brother! He screams! So you must be doing something right. I think he likes people who are confident with babies.”

Weight Gain

“She’s put on 8oz in 6 days! That’s just where she’s increased her volume from using her tongue better.”

“She’s definitely latching a lot better — fully flanged lips.”

Car Seat

“Not screaming in the car; is falling asleep in the car now.”

"Calmer in car seat now"

Self Settling

"Self-settling on her back. Two nights in her own bed."

Passing Stools

"Increased from passing stools every 3 days to every other."
